CREDIT CONTROL POLICY PROJECT

Govan Mbeki Local Municipality (Mpumalanga) engaged Friday to assess its current credit control policy and procedures and to redevelop the policy and procedures, where necessary.  The project includes the writing of credit control bylaws to give effect to the Municipality's policy.

INTEGRATED FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT POLICY PROJECT

Maletswai local municipality (Eastern Cape) contracted Friday to develop comprehensive, integrated financial management policies for the Municipality.  The scope of work included development of policies on matters as diverse as asset management, management remuneration, risk management, accounting, credit control, subsistence and travelling, investment, cash management and rates policy.

REVIEW OF DELEGATION SYSTEM

Tswelopele Local Municipality (Free State) appointed Friday to review its current delegation system and register of delegated powers.  The need for the project stems from the requirements of the Municipal Systems Act that a municipality must review its delegation system when a new council is elected.
